Facts
Our programme for volunteers is continuously expanding and we are now supporting people who have a range of disabilities to work with us at our Centre for Independent Living alongside both of our Shopmobility and Market services. We also operate the Accredited Volunteers Certificate through our links with the Volunteer Centre (Warrington). For further information on how to become a volunteer with WDP please contact Jayne or Brun on 01925 240064. Warrington Disability Partnership was founded by 3 volunteers, Eric James, Allan Shaw and Dave Thompson. During the past 15 years hundreds of people have volunteered their time to WDP, many of us have developed lasting friendships. Sadly we have lost many of our friends during the journey. Richard, a WDP volunteer, wrote these words as he remembers his friend Mark another WDP volunteer who sadly died in 2005. |
