BUPA Manchester Run 2011
25 runners from Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) hit the road on Sunday 15th May to take part in the Bupa 10k Run. On a cold and windy day in Manchester our supporters shivered in the rain whilst our 'elite' runners achieved some amazing times - some finishing in less than an hour! Tommy Hammond, who completed the run in 58 minutes and 24 seconds, said, "The atmosphere was electric and better than ever. The feeling of making it to the end and seeing thousands of people in front of you, and behind you, was fantastic''. WDP's mascot, Ollie Bird was on hand to give the runners encouragement along the way and also entertained the crowds with his amusing antics.Sponsorship money raised will go towards Disability Awareness day 2011. Congratulations to all the runners who took part to raise funds for Warrington Disability Partnership. The team are:
