The Griffiths Court project is progressing and we are now in a position to appoint architects. We will be interviewing over the next few weeks and once appointed our architects will begin to draw up plans and designs to help us to develop the centre. Having designs and drawings will also improve our opportunities for consultation and planning.

Griffiths Court is a partnership of North Cheshire organisations concerned with the needs of disabled people in the region The group includes representatives from relevant voluntary sector organisations, an NHS Trust, the local Authority, Social Services Department and the community. Griffiths Courts mission is To provide a source of high quality services for disabled people, their families and carers, which will assist in maintaining independent living.

What is the aim of Griffiths Court?
The overall aim of Griffiths Court is to create a centre to support disabled people and carers with respite, residential and nursing care. The centre will be located in the Warrington area and will be available to disabled people and their families throughout the North West. Our consulation to date has highlighted the need for the following services, which the new centre will aim to offer.

  • Respite opportunities
  • Residential facilities
  • Complimentary therapeutic services
  • Facilities for social integration
  • Rehabilitation / independent living
