Development Securities Ltd proud to be ‘Positive About Disabled People’

Jennifer Bamber of Development Securities Ltd based in Birchwood is a proud recipient of the nationally recognised quality standard ‘Two Ticks – Positive about Disabled People’ from Dave Connor of local charity Warrington Disability Partnership.

As Landlord of The Genesis Centre in Birchwood, Development Securities Ltd actively promote disability awareness with their tenants and are conscientious about dealing with access issues (recently seeking advice from Warrington Disability Partnership regarding evacuation chairs). They also champion the disabled parking scheme at the Genesis Centre.

At the presentation, Jennifer said:
“Our company was motivated to achieve the ‘Two Ticks’ symbol as a sign of our full commitment as a responsible employer to being positive about employing people with a disability.

We spend money and time in making our premises accessible but more importantly the award defines the culture of our organisation and how we deal with people with disabilities.

I would recommend the services of Warrington Disability Partnership to any company or organisation who wishes to demonstrate its commitment to supporting people with disabilities by achieving the ‘Two Ticks’.

WDP couldn’t have been more helpful in guiding our company through the assessment process. Their positive approach has motivated my company to achieve the award which we have been very proud to accept.”

Warrington Disability Partnership works closely in conjunction with Jobcentre Plus in advising and promoting the ‘Two Ticks’ quality standard to local businesses.

Warrington Disability Partnership’s own Employment Team can offer a FREE support package to organisations and businesses on the benefits of obtaining ‘Two Ticks’ and can be contacted on 01925 240064 or employmentteam@disabilitypartnership.org.uk
