Time to 'Take a Break' again!

Local charity Warrington Disability Partnership invites the public to its 'Take a Break' open day on Thursday 22nd March 10am - 3pm at the Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort Street.

This is a special Holiday event for people with disabilities and their families with free advice and displays from the likes of Chrysalis Holidays, The Back Up Trust and Vitalise to name but a few. The free event will have all the information you need to have a trouble free, accessible holiday. For further information ring on 01925 240064 or visit www.disabilitypartnership.org.uk

At last year's 'Take a Break', Mr and Mrs Munslow visited the Centre for Independent Living for information and advice on a suitable holiday for Mr Munslow, following surgery. As Mrs Munslow said at the time:

"After Ken had double knee replacement surgery, we were sure that we would not be able to have a holiday, but the staff at WDP's Take Break told us about their holiday home.

We enjoyed a week in Pensarn in a fully accessible holiday unit close to the sea and all amenities. They even lent us a scooter so Ken could get about easier! We would like to thank everyone at WDP for making our holiday possible. We will definitely recommend it!"
