On the buses to 'DAD'!

On Friday 15th June outside Warrington's Town Hall, key supporters of this year's Disability Awareness Day (DAD) met with event organisers Warrington Disability Partnership to celebrate the launch of the new low-level accessible 'DAD' Bus.

"WDP are proud to work in partnership with Nigel Featham and the team at Warrington Borough Transport (WBT)" said Dave Thompson, Chair of WDP. "It's pleasing to see that year on year the increase in the number of accessible low-level buses around Warrington and that disability awareness training is included in WBT's staff induction and ongoing development.

The new DAD bus underlines our commitment to supporting WBT and will help to promote disability and the Partnership across town and the local communities."
