Casino Night
Warrington Disability Partnership's (WDP) Black-Tie Charity Casino Night, held on Friday 16th May, was a resounding success, helping to raise almost £4,000 to help support their services in the local communities.

Centre for Independent Living gets new lease of life
PEOPLE in Warrington needing support to live independently will benefit significantly from a national cash award. The council, in partnership with Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) has been successfully awarded with £922,055 from the Big Lottery Community Assets Fund.

Disability Equality Involvement Workshop
Following last year's successful event, local Charity Warrington Disability Partnership and Warrington Borough Council organised the second Disability Equality Involvement Workshop on the 11th February.

10 awards were recently presented to local individuals and organisations at the annual Appreciation of Efforts Awards, celebrating the International Day of Disabled People.

Heartless Vandals attack Wizard
Heartless vandals have caused £100's worth of damage to Warrington Disability Partnership's accessible Wizard Narrow boat which is moored on the Bridgewater Canal in Stockton Heath.

Dave Connor, Warrington Disability Partnership Assistant Operations Manager has been working closely with Warrington Amateur Radio Club, offering advice and support in relation to accessibility.

Annual Christmas Tombola
Saturday 10th November will see the opening of the first of a string of activities in the lead up to Christmas. The Annual Christmas Tombola at Warrington Disability Partnership's Disability Information Point (in the Rear Hall of Warrington Retail Market) aims to raise funds to support many of WDP's crucial services.

There was an excellent turn out for the Casino Night at the Village in Warrington on October 19th. The elegance of the people who attended was matched by their generosity in buying chips and bidding on the auction!

WDP & Jobcentre Plus 'Raise the Game' on Disability Awareness!
On Monday 3rd September at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Jobcentre Plus (JCP) and Warrington Disability Partnership together staged a highly successful dinner for local employers called 'Raising the Game'.

Halliwell Jones Stadium offers 'Vocal Eyes'
The Halliwell Jones Stadium offers some of the very best facilities for disabled supporters anywhere in the UK. The ‘Vocal-Eyes’ system aims to enhance Wolves reputation further in this area and provide blind and visually impaired spectators with a free loan of a portable radio and headset which can be used anywhere within the stadium.

Lions magic donation for the Wizard!
Following the successful Lions Club's annual sponsored canal walk in May, representatives from Lymm District, Urmston, Stretford and Sale Lions Clubs this week presented Warrington Disability Partnership's wheelchair accessible 'Wizard' narrow boat with a cheque for £610.

On August 19th at the next home game of Wolves vs. Catalans, local charity Warrington Disability Partnership will be holding a bucket collection within The Halliwell Jones Stadium to raise money for the Stadium's £2,200 'Vocal-Eyes' system.
