A Santa Dash with a difference!

One of Warrington Disability Partnerships own ran through the streets of Liverpool during December to raise much needed funds for the charity.

Dawn Gerrard, our visual impaired Young Ambassador donned her Santa Suit and ran her legs off during the race, which was 5Km long and took her 40 min’s to complete. She raised £160 for WDP which will go towards helping the Leisure, Recreation and Sport officer open up a new inclusive Basketball Club for the Warrington area.
After the race Dawn said ‘I can’t believe I was fit enough to do it in under an hour’. The time was even more astounding when you realise that during the race Dawn managed to loose her trousers, which means that actually finishing was an achievement in itself……
