Meru

MERU (Medical Engineering Resource Unit) is a charitable organization that exists to improve the life of children and young people with severe disabilities.

They do this by using design and engineering skills to make individual pieces of specialist equipment they can use at home, school or college. They are often looked on as a ‘last resort’, when no solution can be found, and often the need is urgent. They do not take on projects where a ready-made solution can be obtained, though we can often advise or refer people to other sources of help. Their services fall into these main areas: communication and control; lifestyle assistance; information and advice; and early year’s mobility. Contact: Unit 2, Eclipse Estate, 30 West Hill, Epsom, Surrey KT19 8JD. Tel: 01372 725 203. Fax: 01372 743 159. Email: info@meru.org.uk
