Equipment Loans

This free service offers various pieces of equipment for a short-term loan of up to six weeks. This service is open to Warrington residents for use in the UK, although arrangements can be made, with prior agreement, to use the equipment abroad. The service includes over 290 wheelchairs, suitable for both adults and children of all sizes.

We have recently received a bariatic chair, suitable for adults up to 30 stone. We also have a specially designed wheelchair for young children with single or twin leg plasters (spiker). All chairs are equipped with a safety belt, cushion and leg supports (if required). We always provide the client with clear instructions when supplying the equipment, which is maintained to the manufacturers standards.

We also own three lightweight 3-wheeled scooter (insurance required) and 3 compact travel ramps with carry handles. In addition we have two compact travel hoists are available on loan to professionals and carers (please note that a sling is required as these are not provided.

We also loan out two wheelchair travel bags help to protect your wheelchair on aircraft, cars, boats and trains. The cover is designed to protect wheelchairs from all but the most severe abuse when in the care of airlines or other carriers. When folded the bag can be safely carried, in its own bag, on the back of the wheelchair.

Wheelchair accessible vehicle for deliveries and collections of any loan equipment provided. There is a small charge, but this is only to cover the cost of fuel. >Delivery and collection dates available are Monday-Thursday 9.00am-2.00pm.
