Through partnerships with Life Long Learning, UKOnline and Leonard Cheshire Disability; WDP have developed an IT Training Suite run by disabled people for disabled people. Specialist software aims to make this facility accessible for all with adapted keyboards, mice and fully height adjustable desks to accommodate individual needs.

Our centre is a registered UK Online Centre and a variety of weekly sessions are held. IT training is available for all abilities on a wide range of topics including:

  • Office (IT) skills to prepare you for work
  • Organise your life with IT, a guide to operating on Line
  • Shopping online
  • Word- PowerPoint- Excel- Publisher
  • Government Services Online including welfare benefits
  • Using Media
  • Digital Imaging

Our most popular course is “Computers for the terrified”. We offer courses for users who have visual impairment through our trained “Computer Buddies" scheme. We also have an accessible Activity Room where we offer a variety of arts and crafts classes. We also work closely with Warrington Collegiate in order to offer a variety of six week courses, such as Jewellery Making, Floral Design, Guitar and Scrapbooking
