Wheelchair Loans

Our wheelchair loan service offers wheelchairs for a short-term loan of up to six weeks and is open to Warrington residents for use in the UK, although arrangements can be made, with prior agreement, to use the equipment abroad. We have over 300 wheelchairs, suitable for both adults and children of all sizes with two bariatric chairs, suitable for adults up to 30 stone. We also have a specially designed wheelchair for young children with single or twin leg plasters (spiker). All chairs are equipped with a safety belt, cushion and leg supports (if required). We provide clear instructions when supplying the equipment, which is maintained to the manufacturer's standards.

We also loan out two wheelchair travel bags to help to protect your wheelchair on aircraft, cars, boats and trains. The cover is designed to protect wheelchairs from all but the most severe abuse when in the care of airlines or other carriers. When folded the bag can be safely carried, in its own bag, on the back of the wheelchair.

A vehicle is available for deliveries and collections. There is a small charge, but this is only to cover the cost of fuel. Delivery and collections are completed on Friday's.

A £20 deposit is required, refundable upon return of the wheelchair and is free service for the first six weeks. After the free six week period is reached, there will be a charge of £10 per week, payable upon return of the wheelchair.
