Shopmobility WarringtonShopmobility offers people with temporary or permanent mobility problems or disabilities the chance to experience greater freedom and independence. We provide manual and electric wheelchairs and battery-powered scooters to break down the barriers to independence to enable you to make the most of our centre facilities. By enabling greater accessibility to the town, we are opening up a world of opportunities Who uses Shopmobility?The scheme is available to anyone with mobility difficulties, whether temporary or permanent. You can always call us for an informal chat to see if we can help.Where is Shopmobility?Equipment can be collected from Shopmobility Warrington which is situated just inside the Welcome Hall of the Golden Square from the Legh St Car Park. Shopmobility Warrington also operates two satellite operations. One inside the Warrington Bus Interchange and one inside Warrington Retail Market. We also liaise with Dial-A-Ride who drop off on Academy Way for the Market. Dial-A-Ride also has a drop off point at the rear of the Golden Square Site When can you use Shopmobility?The scheme operates six days a week. Equipment available?
Parking Spaces availableGolden Sq Legh St Car Park - 55 Blue Badge spaces 7 Designated Shopmobility Bays Midland Way Car Park - 42 in total (Level 1 = 12, Level 2 = 24 and Level 3 = 6) Car Parking is free to Members of Shopmobility Warrington and Blue Badge Holders on the Legh St Car Park and Midland Way Car Park. Members will need to get their tickets validated at the Customer Services Desk, which is situated in the Welcome Hall of the Legh St Car Park, or the Customer Service Desk situated within the Shopping Centre. Members must produce either their Blue Badge or their Shopmobility Membership card as proof of identity. Warrington Disability Partnership do recommend that you do not take your full Blue Badge with you when Shopping in the Centre. Benefits to Members.Members may book equipment up to one week in advance. Day visitors may only book on the day of use and to use the Bus Interchange Satellite members must book with 24 hours notice on 01925 231942.How to join.To join the scheme all you need to do is call in at the Shopmobility office in Legh St, complete a short registration form (not for day visitors), sign a medical declaration and provide identification, joining fee and photographs as detailed below. All new members are fully trained on the equipment before taking it out for the first time.For an annual membership you wil need one Form of ID (eg: blue badge, driving licence, bus pass, passport, etc) and two Passport Size photos. The cost is only £17 a year. If you are just visiting and want a day membership you need two forms of ID but no photo, and the cost is £4 per day. We can take photos suitable for the yearly membership card at a nominal cost of £2.
