Warrington Disability Partnership

Legacy Appeal

During 2016 we celebrated our 25th anniversary year. To mark this anniversary we launched our Legacy Appeal which aims to raise funds to support employment for young disabled people.

The fund will be used to contribute up to £10,000 towards the cost of each of their salaries for a maximum of two years. It will act as an extension to a typical apprenticeship scheme and will be open to young disabled people up to the age of 30.

During their two years of support each young disabled person will receive ongoing training and work placement opportunities aimed at personal development.

Why WDP?

We have an excellent track record of supporting the development of young disabled people. During the past 26 years we have helped hundreds of young disabled men and women to restore their financial independence through sustainable and rewarding work. Their efforts help us to continue supporting the mobility and independent living needs of thousands of disabled people each year. We are also committed to building a sustainable future for the organisation.

How to help

We cannot do this alone. In order to raise the money we are going to need over 1000 supporters; individuals, organisations and businesses. Our aim is to recruit:

  • 1,000 supporters to pledge to raise £25 during the year equivalent to 48p per week, or make a one off donation or setup a direct debit for £2 per month. What will you receive?
  • 100 supporters to pledge to raise £250 during the year equivalent to £4.80 per week, or make a one off donation or setup a direct debit for £20 per month. What will you receive?
  • 30 supporters to pledge to raise £2,500 during the year equivalent to £48 per week, or make a one off donation or setup a direct debit for £200 per month. What will you receive?
  • 1 principal supporter to pledge to raise £25,000.

Of course these are minimum targets, the more money we raise the more young disabled people we can help!
