Temporary Additional Work (January – March 2022)

Despite the number of patients in hospitals with COVID-related illness being lower than at previous levels in the pandemic, the number of people contracting COVID-19, driven by the Omicron variant, is vast. Due to an increasing number of Social Care Workers self-isolating/being affected by Covid-19, we have been asked by Warrington Borough Council to identify any PAs that would be interested and available to undertake additional working hours to deliver care.

This may include delivering care in a person’s home, in the community or other settings. This temporary service will operate between 7 in the morning and 11 in the evening every day and there are a range of shifts from as little as 3 hours up to 8 hours to suit your availability and preference.

This work can be delivered in addition to your current working arrangements and will be paid by Warrington Borough Council.

It is unclear how long this arrangement will be in place; however, we envisage it will be several months, if this doesn’t fit with your availability, a shorter commitment may be agreed. We would welcome interest from PA’s regardless of experience, clearance (DBS-checked PA’s are particularly welcomed, if not, a willingness to complete is essential), current job role or work pattern.

It doesn't matter whether you have previous experience with a particular client group or not, but if you want to help people with personal care, preparing meals and snacks and supporting people to take their medication this short term opportunity could be for you. What’s really important are your values and your attitude towards working with people who need care and support.
