Woolston Rovers under 11's Greens Rugby Team support WDP

Woolston Rovers under 11's Greens Rugby Team are the latest group to get behind WDP.

John Roberts, forty four year old former player and now team coach said “WDP helped to keep me mobile with the loan of a wheelchair when I had a serious leg injury last year, and when I saw they were looking for support, I suggested we could add WDP’s logo to our playing shirts and get everyone involved in helping to raise funds for them”.

Founder and Chief Executive of WDP Dave Thompson MBE DL called in to thank John and the players; he gave an overview of what services are available at WDP. Dave and his colleagues will be revisiting the team at the end of the season and has promised to take along spare wheelchairs so the players can try wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball.

Dave said “It was nice to see our logo on the players shirts, John’s suggestion is highly appreciated by everyone at Team WDP”.
