Business Community Supports WDP's Legacy Fund
Over twenty businesses have so far signed the pledged to raise a minimum of £2,500 for us during 2016, our 25th anniversary year. We are aiming to raise over £150,000 to build a Legacy Fund that will be used to support jobs for young disabled people.
Dave Thompson MBE DL Co-Founder and Chief Executive said Young disabled people aged 18-24 are twice as likely to be not in education, employment or training as non-disabled young people. Members of our Board of Trustees agreed that we are perfectly placed to do something as the majority of our staff have a wealth of experience of living with a disability and are positive role models.
