WORLD record tombola

Thank you to everyone who turned up on Saturday for our giant Tombola - what an amazing day!

WDP is expected to become a Guinness World Record holder after more than 6,500 prizes were up for grabs in a tombola we held at Golden Square Shopping Centre’s community day on Saturday October 1.

The tombola, which was held at the Old Market Place, is now awaiting verification from the authorities with the current record holder having had 5,104 prizes on offer.

The buzz around the busy Golden Square was great, with lots of people turning up to buy a ticket - every one of which had a prize attached.
