Warrington Disability Partnership

Take the Plunge to Raise Funds for Disability Charity!

Are you a keen swimmer or fancy a challenge?

Why not join supporters of Warrington Disability Partnership in a sponsored swim to raise money to provide help and advice to disabled people and their families?

The event will take place on 21st March 2020 at Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub (sponsored by Livewire) from 4pm to 8pm and swimmers of all ages and abilities are invited to take part. Swimmers can choose their own target (10,20, 30 lengths) or can aim to swim the equivalent of a mile (64 lengths of the pool).

A special swimmer will be showing everyone else how to do it, as she completes the final mile of her virtual channel swim at the Sponsored Swim Event. Ellie Thompson, age 15, is aiming to swim the equivalent of the English Channel (22 miles) in her local swimming pool, between January and March 2020, in aid of WDP, which was set up by her grandad, Dave Thompson. Ellie is aiming to raise £200 to support WDP and has already swam 7 miles of her 22 mile target.

To register to swim at the event, please contact Kate Picken on 01925 240064.
