Our Leisure Recreation and Sports (LRS) Team offer a number of sessions and we can provide information on local services including leisure centres, youth clubs, sports clubs, coaching. Our staff are also available to visit local sports clubs to give advice on meeting the needs of disabled people..

Our partners include Warrington Wolves Foundation, Warrington Youth Club, Warrington Parents and Carers, LiveWire and Warrington Borough Council. The main focus of our work is sports for disabled children and young disabled people, but we also offer services for adults focussed on health and well-being.

Disabled children and young people

Our team run projects that aim to change lives and make positive differences to disabled children and young disabled people living in Warrington. Our aims and objectives are:

Sporting Opportunities: We aim to inspire disabled children and disabled young people to achieve full potential through developing sporting opportunities that enable children to try a range of sports.

Children and Young People:We aim to offer opportunities for disabled children and disabled young people through providing pathways to participation. Our partnership working allows children to progress from come and try sports to competition based clubs.

Volunteering and Education: We aim to create opportunities for sport volunteers ensuring that they gain confidence, self-esteem and valuable life skills to coach disabled children and disabled young people. We aim to support volunteers through giving volunteers the tools to succeed.
