PA Pathways: Staff and Employer Training

Warrington Disability Partnership, funded by Skills for Care, are hosting PA Pathways - a dual series of one day sessions for Personal Assistants (PAs) and employers of PAs to find out more about good practice, the nature of their roles, responsibilities, and skills development. More info about both series of sessions is as below;

PA Pathways: Employers

Employers recruit and employ their own PAs to support them with daily tasks, to enable them to live independently. This one day awareness raising session is for new PA employers (or those who want to build their confidence about becoming an employer) to learn more about the rights and responsibilities of being an employer, including; recruitment, staff management, contracts, and legal duties.

Employer sessions are to be held at The Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort St, WA5 1BA on:

  • Thurs 3rd Oct – 9am to 4pm
  • Thurs 7th Nov – 9am to 4pm

PA Pathways: Staff

PAs support one or more individuals directly with aspects of everyday life, to help them to live independently in their own homes. This one day awareness raising session is for new PAs (or those who want to learn more about becoming a PA) to learn more about what a PA is/can be, finding roles, duties, training and careers.

Staff Sessions are to be held at The Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort St, WA5 1BA on:

  • Thurs 5th Sept – 9am to 4pm
  • Thurs 31st Oct – 9am to 4pm
  • Thurs 5th Dec – 9am to 4pm
