About Gavin Thompson:
Gavin is the manager of the Disability Trading Company. He meets with new and existing suppliers of equipment and services to negotiate better pricing or offers. Another essential part of his role is providing assessments for customers to advise them on the correct equipment to suit their needs. This includes products like Stair lifts, Rise & Recline chairs and wheelchairs. Gavin has a wide range of accreditations including Motability assessor, Trusted Assessor, and Specialist Seating, wheelchairs and ramps Assessor. One week a year his role changes and he becomes Head Steward for the DAD team, spending a week at Walton gardens. Together with the rest of the team he sets up the event, something he has done for the last 28 years. His first DAD was when he was only 12 years old.
