Warrington Disability Partnership

Ahoy There!

We have an exciting opportunity for those who are interested in volunteering! We are looking for volunteers to help crew our Wizard Narrow Boat and take people on day trips along the Bridgewater Canal.

The Wizard, which is moored in Stockton Heath, operates between March to October. It is a fully accessible narrow boat, suitable for everyone, including disabled people, people living with long-term health conditions, older people, families, friends and community groups.

It would be beneficial if you have some experience of narrow boating, but if you don’t, don’t worry! As long as you’re reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn, we will provide you with the training you need.

This is a great opportunity to do something different, make new friends and help people to have an enjoyable day out.

If you are interested in getting involved and becoming part of our volunteer crew, please get in touch with Jane and Chris. We thank you in advance for your interest.

We are also holding an information event at the Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort St, Warrington WA5 1BA, on Wednesday 7th, February, between 4 pm and 6 pm. You can meet some of the existing crew volunteers and learn more about what we do. If you would like to attend, please register by contacting Jane and Chris.
